Geirangers renowned breathtaking scenery provides the perfect backdrop for some of the most outstanding biking to be had in Norway. We offer e-bike hire of top quality electric mountain and city bikes right in the center of Geiranger. From there you can pedal along the fjord or to one of the famous viewpoints in the mountains, like Eagle Bend or Flydalsjuvet. Do not worry about the ascent - going uphill with an electric bike is exercise without exhaustion!

We recommend to book online in advance. For the pick up please get in touch with our staff at the ticket counter in the tourist information in Geiranger on the day of your bike ride.

Safety note: The roads around Geiranger are often narrow with sharp bends and hairpins. In addition, the vehicle traffic can be heavy at times, especially during the high season from the middle of June to the middle of August. Be aware of other road users and take care.

What bikes do we rent out?
Our high quality bikes have 9 gears and 5 electric settings

  • Off - just like a normal bike
  • Eco - 30% more power than you put in
  • Tour - medium battery power
  • Sport - high battery power
  • Turbo - Takes you up the steepest hills in Geiranger without having to get off and push!                                                       

What does bike hire include?

  • lock
  • helmet
  • reflex safety vest
  • bell
  • storage folding back

Conditions of Hire

  • A helmet will be provided for every customer, if you choose to decline the helmet you will be deemed to have accepted full responsibility for this decision.
  • The bike and all accessories must be returned in the conditioned they were delivered in. If misused Geirangerfjordservice will be entitled to charge the client for any damages caused.
  • The electric bike must not be used when the rider is under the influence of drink or drugs.
  • Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times and by law any one riding an electric bike must be over 14.

Insurance

  • We recommend that you take out adequate insurance including loss of belongings, cancellation cover, medical cover and personal accident.
  • Geirangerfjordservice has public liability insurance, but you remain liable for any damage or theft of the Bike and accessories. A passport or photo driving licence is required as proof of ID. Credit/debit card details are required please.
  • In the event of the bike or any accessories being stolen or lost Geirangerfjordservice reserves the right to be reimbursed by the client for the replacement price.
  • To prevent theft all of our bikes come with a standard secure lock which must be used whenever you leave the bike unattended.
